This fireback pays tribute to that age old tradition in beautiful detail with a ship riding the waves with its majestic sails raised high. The Ship fireback will protect the back wall of your fireplace and reflect the heat back into the room while adding a great accent to your hearth. It's the perfect item to keep as a collectors item to be passed down through many generations and a perfect gift for the discriminating eye. Optional cast iron feet provide support and allow fire back to stand freely. Without feet simply lean the fire back against the back wall of your fireplace. Measures 20" High x 17" Wide x 1" Thick.
Created by artist J. Del Conner, this sand-cast fireback is made in virtually the same manner as its antique forebears. Yet this fireback is designed with the modern fireplace in mind. The sturdy cast iron plate will work in either wood burning fireplaces or in gas fireplaces and will provide years of warmth and protection.
